DEVICE AND ASSET MANAGEMENT
In taking responsibility for the management of multiple loan devices, I have worked to create a new system by which we loan our devices, as well as modernize our management of current inventory. This has included:
– Collaborate with other front facing teams to incorporate JAMF management and profiles to better deal with frequently loaned Apple equipment
– Create templates ‘images’ to create a standard baseline for users to interface with, irrespective of the device that they are using
– Ensure that all assets are tagged and properly tracked using a dedicated loan tracking software.
– Run analytics on loans to determine high traffic devices, patterns of use, and inform future purchasing practices

VIDEO SERVICE TRANSITIONS
Acting as the institution’s lead on migrating our current, recently acquired, video service platform to a new platform that would meet campus needs. This work includes:
– A comprehensive needs analysis for the institution to determine, what are the essential components of a modern video delivery and storage system.
– Meet with constituents from a multitude of teams to gather input and feedback about transition details.
– Plan migration path and establish campus wide timelines for go-live and end-of-life
– Establish, test, and maintain integrations from existing systems into new platform, including enabling SSO login for campus users and creating a passthrough for our LMS (Canvas) to the new platform

LEARNING TOOLS INTEROPERABILITY MANAGEMENT
As membership on the team has transitioned, I have stepped into a role that deals explicitly with the integrations into our LMS, Canvas. This has meant a number of new initiatives:
– Revised security audit process for all new tools that requires all vendors to submit a common assessment (HECVAT) and be subject to a standardized questionnaire before enable
– Convene a set working group that reviews enable requests on an established timeline and makes determinations based on a rubric that accounts for needs, scope, and system stability/security
– Routinize major system changes to a cadence that aligns best with system downtime or low traffic periods to best serve our constituents
